Corona del Mar juniors and seniors had a blast this past Saturday, May 18th, at prom! Held at the House of Blues in Anaheim, the dance was fun, lively, and had non-stop dancing from 7-10 pm. The venue was a highlight for many students because it had a separate, relatively small room for the dance floor and an amazing DJ, which made the dance floor feel packed, loud, and crowded—in the best way possible. There was also a soda station, fruit bar, and treat table, which added to the appeal. For those who did not want to dance, there was an entire room with seating and poker playing.
CdM junior Sofia Williams shared that she thought the dance was “fun” and she “had a great time.” She also shared, “I really liked the venue. I thought it was super fun.” CdM senior Brooke Anthony also highlighted the dance: “My prom was so much fun. It was my senior year, so I really loved being with all my friends and having our last dance together. It was a great time!” Anthony additionally said, “My senior year prom might have been my favorite just because the venue was so nice.” She loved how the venue had a “seating arrangement in one area and then the dance party in the other” because she thinks it “encouraged people to stay longer because there were options of what you could do!”
Prom was a huge success and a great way for seniors to close out their school year. It was also a great introduction to how fun prom can be for juniors! It is safe to say that the current juniors and rising sophomores are already looking forward to next year’s prom!
