Newport Beach is home to one of the most magical holiday destinations in Orange County: Roger’s Gardens. On November 1st, they officially reopened their beloved Christmas Boutique, marking the start of the holiday season. Inside, the main room is transformed into a Christmas haven, filled with towering Christmas trees, ornate ornaments, candles, and a wide array of seasonal decorations. Sophia Del Ponte, an 11th grader, said, “I love going there every year for Christmas time. It feels very nostalgic to me.” Each section carries a distinct theme, from traditional Christmas to elegant blue and white, and even a tropical-themed section. The atmosphere feels like walking right into a Christmas wonderland, beautiful, detailed, and delightfully fragile. Katellyn Aguilar, 12th grade, said, “I always take pictures at the decorated gazebo every year with my family”. Outside the main boutique, a model train winds around a miniature track, while the surrounding gardens sparkle with lights. Another area showcases gigantic fake Christmas trees that are realistic enough to trick anyone. Visitors wanting to experience Roger’s Gardens during the holidays should plan ahead since parking becomes limited, and decorations could sell out fast as the holidays approach. On the other side of the grounds, The Farmhouse at Roger’s Gardens offers a cozy farm-to-table restaurant perfect for a festive dinner or a holiday date. Chloe Joyce, 12th grade, said, “I love the burger from there. It tastes super fresh, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is super warm and cozy”. With its magical displays, glowing lights, and warm holiday spirit, Roger’s Gardens remains one of Newport’s most cherished Christmas-time destinations.
