The Philadelphia Eagles will arrive prepared and ready in hopes of redeeming themselves after their loss to the Chiefs in the 2023 Super Bowl.
Kansas City, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, have had a remarkable season of fifteen wins and two losses thanks to hard-working players, good coaching, and some lucky referee calls. According to CBS Sports, the Chiefs are favored to win by 1.5 points, with a predicted over under point total of 49.5. Although they may not have the odds in their favor, the Eagles with their impressive fourteen wins and three loss record, and powerful players such as quarterback Jalen Hurts, receiver A.J Brown, and running back Saquon Barkley, will hopefully make this Super Bowl a close battle.
The Kansas City Chiefs immense fame amongst the football community extends to the pop culture world because of tight end Travis Kelce’s relationship with singer songwriter Taylor Swift. The term WAG’s, wives and girlfriends of professional athletes, was brought to a whole other level when their relationship rose to fame in the 2024 season. Although it isn’t certain, Swift’s probable appearance at this Super Bowl will persuade many swifties to hope for a Chiefs victory.
The Eagles being deemed the underdogs of this Super Bowl has caused their fan base to grow because many people love to see an unexpected win. Some think that the Chiefs and their four Super Bowl wins over the past five years is getting excessive and it’s time for a change. Corona del Mar High School sophomore James Warren shares his hopes for the game, “I’m rooting for the eagles, I’m tired of seeing the Chiefs win.” In accordance with Warren’s viewpoint, Freshman Lauren Harner said, “In this Super Bowl, I would like for the Eagles to win.” Many people are ready for a matchup excluding Kansas City, and are wishing for a Philadelphia win.

Whether one is watching because of their love for football, their appreciation for the iconic commercials, or their excitement around viewing an incredible artist during the halftime show, the Super Bowl sparks citizens’ sense of nationalism and patriotism.
