Vacations are a great way to decompress and get away from the stresses of daily life. Many people have dream vacation spots that they hope to go to one day, and school breaks are the perfect time to go. With Ski Week now being a distant memory, CdM students are now setting their sights to Spring Break. Already planning out what their week will look like, students are excited to have one last week off of school before AP exams and the long stretch to finals week. From going to the other side of the country, to flying to the other side of the world, the students of CdM are excited to have fun on their vacation.

During Spring Break, most people who go on vacation lean towards the more sunny and beachy destinations.  Popular locations during this break include Cabo San Lucas, Florida, and Hawaii. Though all in different parts of the world, all of them have things in common: the popular beaches and warm weather. This spring break, sophomore Marcello Anell is looking forward to “going to Hawaii”. One day, he hopes to spend his vacation “in Tahiti”. The sun and warm weather is particularly appealing this Spring Break, due to the recent weather of rain, low 60 and 50 temperatures, and one surprising and short snowfall. Hopefully going to these vacation destinations will help students relax and gather enough energy to push through the month before Summer Break.

There are also many students who plan to stay home during Spring Break. A week at home without school can help you relax as much as any vacation can if it is done right. Sophomore Negin Assar is spending her vacation “at home, but [she] might go to New York”. Though Assar is excited for Spring Break, she is greatly anticipating the summer, when she will be “going to Italy”, her dream travel destination.

Spring Break is giving CdM students something to look forward to in the months ahead. Giving one last break before the stressful last few weeks of school, students are planning to make the most out of this vacation. That vacation is the time to relax one last time before the pressure of AP tests and finals are upon us. From staying at home to traveling across the globe, Spring Break will be enjoyable for many CdM students.
