Corona del Mar High School offers countless opportunities to get involved from sports, to the arts, leadership groups, and even including 43 clubs to choose from! This diversity of activities truly allows an outlet for all students with different interests to be involved. A new club on campus this year is Kingdom Builders, formed by juniors Isa Arrigo and Nicole Avenatti. Kingdom Builders is a club formed to build a community of Christ-followers, where people feel connected and loved. Arrigo stresses that “You don’t have to be Christian or even religious to join! It’s all about forming a community.” The club’s Instagram account already has 92 followers and the club received over 40 sign-ups at club rush alone.

When asked about goals for this year Arrigo said, “Our goal is to expand and grow a community with God and create a place where everyone is loving, kind, and accepting.” Fellow junior Maggie Marr reaffirmed the club’s goal by sharing that from a member’s perspective the club attitude is, “Kind, accepting, and loving. Everyone seems so excited to meet you and be your friend.” Outside of school the club also plans to, “have once a month serve opportunities and a church tour, where we travel to different churches within Orange County and go to their services. This allows us to meet more people, try new churches, have new experiences, and use our club to help others.” If you’re interested in this club, Kingdom Builders meets every other Thursday in Ms. Kylen’s room (located in the 200 building)!

The club also has an Instagram page @cdm.kingdom.builders if you are interested in getting involved and receiving updates or information about the club. If you have any questions Arrigo said with a smile, “Don’t be afraid to reach out or ask any questions. We would love to answer them.” Overall clubs are a great way to get involved with the school, community, and meet new people, all while having tons of fun!
