It has been quite the dormant year for museums and art enthusiasts hoping to catch the latest exhibits, but not for long, as the Immersive Van Gogh exhibit is heading to Los Angeles. The immersive Van Gogh exhibit is slated to unveil on May 27, 2021, and has been extended to January 2022 due to record breaking ticket sales. Tickets have been sold out through September, with prices at $30 for kids, and $40 for adults ($50 for adults for peak times). Important to note that the exhibit is designed in accordance with the current health and safety guidelines currently in place due to the COVID19 pandemic. There will be temperature checks, social distancing markers, hand sanitizers, and all guests will be required to wear masks while at the show. The location of the clandestine exhibit has yet to be announced, until closer proximity to the opening date.
The Immersive Van Gogh exhibit is the latest creation designed and conceived by world renowned master of digital art, creative director and Italian film producer Massimiliano Siccardi, Luca Longobardi (sound track), and Vittorio Guidotti (art director). The exhibit’s successful shows in Paris, Chicago, San Francisco and Toronto will soon be on the road in Los Angeles, NYC, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, Charlotte, Las Vegas, and Pittsburgh.
This dynamic digital masterpiece collaborated by Lighthouse Immersive and Impact Museum, will bring to life Vincent Van Gogh’s post impressionist masterpieces through 60,000frames of video, 90,000 pixels, and 500,000 cubic feet of immersive projections for the first time in LA. The hour long entry will be a walk- through experience with digital moving projections of Vincent Van Gogh’s iconic canvases such as Mangeurs de Pommes de Terre (The Potato Eaters), Nuit Etoilee (Starry Night), Les Tournesols (Sunflowers), La Chambre a Coucher (The Bedroom), and many more of his oeuvres. The exhibit’s moving images and mood setting soundtrack will burrow into the chaotic mind of art genius Vincent Van Gogh, and bring his paintings to life. Junior Alex Cheng said that interactive exhibits “are a great way to get within the universe of the artist, and to go in depth and learn the story behind each piece of art”.
This environmentally friendly phenomenal digital experience has globally mesmerized the art world. This multi sensory platform of viewing art is already on the rise, and perhaps the wave of the future for reaching a mass audience without traveling to museums.
