Jazz Cafe 2019

Every year, the CdM music foundation puts on a show in April dedicated to the appreciation of jazz. Anyone can perform in the show as long as approved after an audition. CdM’s jazz band performed quite a few songs at the beginning of the show, which featured a wonderful implementation of saxophones, drums, piano and other instruments embraced by the style of music.

There were a variety of performers who sang solos, however there were others that sang in a group or with accompaniment. There were other talents shown off by playing instruments, such as the piano and electric guitar as well.

The production usually takes place in the theater, so there is an ample amount of space for both the attendees and performers, but this year a new venue at school was used. The black box theater served as a great venue that truly provided a desired jazzy and old school vibe.

A plethora of different songs were performed, ranging from opera to Freddie Mercury, and overall the event was a success and was enjoyed by teachers, family and friends.
