Recently a new film came into theaters, and viewers have been raving about the meaningful story it tells. Five Feet Apart is quite a unique film, as it displays the life of a young girl with chronic cystic fibrosis and how she lives her life within a hospitalized environment. Actress Haley Lu Richardson portrays this strong character with true grit and a positive attitude towards life, given her situation. Actor Cole Sprouse also plays a character with the same disease, and their story is definitely one worth watching.

The cinematography was expertly done by director, actor and filmmaker Justin Baldoni, as it captivates an emotional side of the audience and transcends a theme to the viewers that can be recognized as appreciating what they have and to not take anything for granted. The music utilized within the movie ties in perfectly with every scene and it definitely captures the proper emotion to set the desired mood. According to Rotten Tomatoes, the film had 81% of viewers say that they liked it, which is a relatively good number considering the fact that the percentages featured on that website are statistics made by the opinions of harsh critics.

The film was released on March 15th, 2019 by Lionsgate and CBS Films, and it has done quite well since then. Like any romance movie, there are cliché moments, but overall It is a heartfelt film. According to LA Weekly, “Like the 1976 made-for-TV classic The Boy in the Plastic Bubble, this premise has built-in emotional power”.
