For the past four years, Corona del Mar High School (CdMHS) has partnered with South Junior High School in Anaheim to put on the Giving Tree. The Giving Tree is a program that allows us to donate clothing and other necessities to high school students in need. South JHS is in desperate need of uniform type clothing like hoodies, jeans, shirts, and more. They are very grateful for the collaboration of the CdM students to put on this event. The Corona del Mar High School ASB community service committee put this event so students could make sure the students at South Junior High School have an amazing holiday.

Students can get involved with a class, club, team, leadership group, or even a group of friends. For example, At Your Service (AYS), a student leadership group on campus, is participating in this event. If a student is interested, they would have to contact Mr. Dobyns in order to take apart in this event.

Then, the student must go to the ASB room to pick a card. Each card has a different item that the student is supposed to purchase for that particular student. After purchasing the assigned item, the student must bring the item back to the ASB room on December 14th, in the morning from 7:00 am to 9:35 am. Students or Mr. Dobyns in ASB will have taken the item that a student was assigned. Eventually, all of the items donated by each and every student who participated would be going to the South Junior High School.

South JHS will get to experience a great holiday season because of a little bit that any student could do for them. CdM High School ASB thanks everyone from their club, group, or class who participated this year in the Giving Tree for making sure the children have a happy holiday this year during the holiday season.
